Dr Linda Spedding
Qualified as an international lawyer – in the UK, USA and India - Dr Linda Spedding has become known for her more unusual lifestyle. Choosing environmental law at a time when it was not understood as a discipline Linda has written extensively in the area in order to reach the hearts and minds of core business lawyers and their clients. Her books and articles on environmental management, environmental health and environmental law have been very well received.
As an “alternative lawyer” Linda has created a niche in international environmental law and standards, which embraces environmental health and other disciplines (see www.lindaspedding.co.uk ) Along the way she has also prioritised the need for spiritual balance and has assisted a small charity that has as its objectives the education and training of spiritual values and coexistence, yoga and responsibility for self. She has developed an approach to life that blends her professional, voluntary and personal responsibilities in a calm, assertive and contented manner that she believes to be valuable for today’s caring woman in the spirit of “practical spirituality”.
Linda is convinced of the key positive role of women to create balance in today’s world. One exciting related project, with which Claire is also concerned, involves an enewsletter for women, explained in www.womeninlaw.com.
Linda now practices and trains in the above areas while looking after her family in a tranquil apartment overlooking the River Thames.
